Dissertation topic...
To those who can put in their 2 cents - I am working on a doctorate degree on Instructional Technology and Distance Education and am thinking of a dissertation topic. I know I can write about so many topics in technology, which is why I am having a tough time narrowing it down to one area.
From your experience, what area in educational technology would be best to look into as a dissertation topic at this time? I am interested in technology integration, staff development, cloud computing in the classroom, etc., etc. Any specific/general suggestions would be appreciated.

It would be cool to know what the ratio between spending on hardware and PD is and how this effects actual classroom practice. What is the optimum ratio to lead to real change? All too often I see PD with no supporting technology or lots of money thrown into new toys but little thought given to training.
