Hello all! I am a kindergarten teacher and I want to get my k-students more involved on the computer. Do you have any great interactive reading websites preferably kid friendly?Or any other suggestions of free sites or software?

In celebration of Dr. Seuss' Week, NEA together with KidThing is giving away free digital Dr. Seuss books. Go to http://kidthing.com/marketing/eblast-20100217-1/ and download your copy. We've used it last year and we're doing it again next week. Enjoy!
www.starfall.com is always popular
Literactive and Roy the Zebra are some other useful sites, but Starfall remains number 1
Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears (http://beyondpenguins.nsdl.org/) is an online magazine for students and teachers k-5. They have several digital nonfiction polar/arctic books at K-1, 2-3 & 4-5 levels. Books can be printed in text only or illustrated format or read in digital format. It's a great site for differentiating.
