The trick with social networking is to go where the crowd is. In education this is where the crowd is. Please take advantage of this group to connect with your colleagues. You might want to start by leaving a short bio and telling everyone which school you are affiliated with.
I am an EL-Civics/ESL teacher in an adult program in western Nebraska. I have been doing this for seventeen years (that have just flown by) and LOVE it. What a wonderful job to have! I learn as much from my students as they learn from me and it has been very rewarding.
Adding something else for a bio, I taught Spanish and English. I started with the GED program as an instructor, both Adult Ed and ESL. It has been very rewarding.
