When your projects come to a close, do you create an archive to capture and reflect on what's been accomplished? And do you share your archive online, so that others can learn along with you?
Here's an example that I just came across, from East Middle School in Grand Junction, Colo. They use LiveBinders as an archiving tool. Buck Institute for Education also offers this project library.
What platform or tool works best for showcasing your projects online? How do you make use of your archives?
Please share your wisdom.

This may be a nuanced response, but I too often see folks get caught up on idea part, so I think it's worth sharing with a more granular classification. I think it's important to understand the difference between these even if you label them something different in your own school/context.

- Project Visions- Big picture scope of an ongoing project (think school watershed garden, paper clip project) http://new.thesolutionsite.com
- Project Product Ideas- Things students can create (see attached Word document)
- Turn-key Projects/activities- Things student can do in a more linear way to gain a better understanding of a particular interest or topic. http://www.instructables.com/ http://www.jason.org/public/whatis/start.aspx

Sounds like a online networking group to start ;-) I think the biggest help that this online archive would do is help new students or teachers to become more familiar with expectations and ideas for pbl. We like to think that the archive would be used mostly by students, to help them generate project ideas to becoming an independent learner as they continue to progress in pbl.

I know that Shane has some archive features in Project Foundry, which I hope to learn more about next week on my visit to Milwaukee.

Aaron,
I like your thinking that students could make good use of such a resource to generate their own project ideas.
Will keep you posted about future networking opportunities. Could be some good cross-pollinating if folks from different kinds of schools were to share ideas and comment on each others' projects.
Cheers,
Suzie
I think the Microsoft/Smithsonian initiative "Interrobang" projects may have a lot to offer in terms of social networking of projects and archiving. See what you think at Looking forward to hearing if anyone has tried this cool sounding initiative! Sue
