Just looking for feedback...

Our school currently uses Apple's Remote Desktop to monitor student computer use on Mac Computers and we'll soon be running the LAN School software on a trial basis.  Does anyone use either and/or both of these programs?  Any comments, concerns and/or suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts,
Meagan

I love Remote Desktop.

I use it in my lab constantly. Not just for monitoring but for sharing and updating. For instance, we were working on document formatting and I wanted to give a quick quiz so I dropped an error filled document on their desktops for them to edit quickly.

I use Google Chrome on my teacher station and when I wanted my students to use it I just added it across the ARD spectrum (in a fraction of the time of going machine to machine).

The Science teacher below me was having problems printing so I jumped on ARD, found her system and was able to fix her printing problem without leaving my desk.

It is a great tool for updating and maintaining systems and troubleshooting in addition to student monitoring. It's very close to being my favorite, must have, piece of software in school.
