Make sure you say "hey" and let us know a bit about yourself.

What topics are you looking to possibly collaborate on?

Are you thinking of getting students together, or getting professional discussions going? Or perhaps both...?

I'm all for people lurking a little to see if this is the place for them, but I also truly feel that we make the place what we need it to be!

This journey is ours to create--take us in new directions and new thought processes!

Hey there I am very excited about the is group and am new. My name is Joanne Kaminski and I am a Reading Specialist that has always had a passion for reading and technology. I am currently tutoring students online and doing volunteer work in schools all over the country from home through Skype. I am able to work with children one on one to increase their reading and do read alouds for whole classrooms through this amazing tool. I am currently looking for a couple of additional classrooms to work with for the 2010-2011 school year in this capacity. Please let me know if you are interested in collaborating.

Hi everyone. I'm a primary (elementary) school teacher from New Zealand. I teach Year 6 students (10 - 11 year-olds).
Our school year runs from January to December.
I would like to set up a collaboration project with as many schools as possible from around the world. My purpose is for my students to experience life and culture though someone else's eyes - to get to know more about their world and the diverse populations. This could be done through blogging, podcasting, digital storytelling, etc. I am thinking of something along the lines of "Removing barriers through Digital Storytelling".
I would love to hear from others who may be interested in this project.
I am involved in the Global Education Conference 2010 - my first time involved in a project like this - and am absolutely loving the challenge.
I look forward to hearing from interested teachers.
I am definitely interested in collaborating with you.
I am in Zimbabwe and work in an International School and in the rural schools. We do collaborative projects with imovie, etc. Open to interesting proposals.
Hey! My name is Angie and I am a teacher librarian at an elementary school in Colorado. I am really trying to work on becoming an active online collaborator and instructor so I can model all the vast web 2.0 tools out there. I am taking baby steps but am loving the ideas I'm seeing and look forward to hopefully "working" with some of you in the near future.....and with your kids, I absolutely love getting kids involved with kids "from afar."
Hi. I am a grade five teacher at an International IB-PYP school in Germany. The students and I are currently using Edmodo, Voicethreads and an edublog classroom blog to share our thinking and collaborate with others. The students have opportunities to present their thinking using all sorts of web2.0 tools - glogster, prezi and photo peach are amongst the current favourites.

I'm very keen to connect with people from all corners. If you are looking for a class to buddy up with, I'd love to talk more. If you are looking to talk and share classroom practise ideas, I'd love to talk more. As we begin to prepare for our PYP Exhibition I'd especially like to connect with other exhibition teachers.
Hello everyone,
I joined this group to find connections for video conferencing. My district uses video conferencing technology that is compatible with a Tandberg or Polycom unit. I work with teachers in grades K-12 with instructional technology. We are always looking for collaboration partners! I would also love for us to connect with anyone overseas!
My name is Tom Stanley and I am from Las Vegas, Nevada. I am currently an instructor at the Advanced Technologies Academy and have helped build an on online school in Las Vegas, Nevada. My passion is using technology to help improve th learning of my students in a project-based learning environment. What I discovered while teaching and being an online instructional designer is that you can use project-based learning in the online and blended learning envvironments. I have helped build professional development for online teacherrs/students, worked with teachers to building online classes that are interactive and project oriented, and done multiple online/realtime activities using synchronous and asynchronous tools in an online and real time environment.  I am currently still teaching and am building a company to work with schools/ groups to create effective PBL projects that are local, state, national and international in scope.

Hello, my name is Karen Marie and I am a middle school computer teacher in Maywood, NJ. I also teach a introductory business and graphic design class. We have mastered many of the popular Microsoft office software and use the Interenet for many projects through the currucilum. Our staff is commtted to intergrating technology in all areas. Acedemic teachers use mobile laptop carts and we have at leaset one SmartBaord for each grade level.

As the Computer teacher and technology coordinator I feel it is my responsibility to take us to the next level. I would like this to be in the form of collaboration. We do have a web-cam in our media center and have used Skye. I look forward to getting and sharing some great ideas!
