Power, Leadership and Ambition Question #2....
Have you ever stopped to think about why we prefer to be around people that are ambitious? What is ambition? The idea of wanting more and not stopping at anything to ensure that you get what your dreams have been molded to is the general idea but what does that mean we seek power and have no fear for the consequences of our ambition? Leaders are those who we feel that we can put the trust into to get us through any and everything. But, is that all that a leader is? As you begin to discuss, in your own responses, the ideas presented in this point, explain what the traits of a leader are and what makes someone worthy of being considered a leader. Consider and discuss why you would follow these people as well as the realtion of each of these ideas. Make sure that you include examples and your own personal experiences relevent.

Well, I don't consider myself as no follower.. But in a mind of a follower, a leader is a person who can take control of anything that might come their way. There are good & bad leaders. Good leaders, lead people to success. But bad leaders, lead people into trouble. If I had a choice to follow someone it would be a good leader. Because I'm all about success.

I would first like to start with saying, I think you should've used the word a instead of no before follower in the first sentence. Take your time. Now, as for the content of your response, I must agree the noone wants to follow a bad leader. Realistically, a good leader can lead you into bad situations unbeknownst to them but is it really them leading you into the bad sitatuation that makes the difference, or their ability to still lead you out of even the worst situations. How do you really determine a person's leadership strength?

A leader, is a person who distinguishes the right from the wrong. A leader knows how to guide other individuals into a straight path. You can always lean on a leader due to the fact that they will try to help you in every way they can. For example, I dont consider myself as a leader because nobody in this world is perfect. You sometimes have to tumble a few times down in order for you to stand up and become the leader that you are today. My mom, she helps me distinguish the right from the wrong. She helped me gain the knowledge of reasoning, knowing that in every bad choice you choose their will always be a negative outcome to it. A leader tends to make an individual not fall for the temptations because they can foreshadow what is going to happen, before it happens. Overall, in this world their are many leaders and also many followers. I dont consider myself as any of the above I only consider myself as a normal human being living the life full of love, hatred, joy, malice, justice, and injustice.

Essie, isn't it your ability to recognize that you are not perfect and that you are only human a characteristic of leadership though? I'm just asking. Who's to say that those who have people leading them cannot lead others. Wouldn't it depend on the arena that you are in?

Yes, m'am it is my ability to recognize that I'm not perfect, that it is only a human characteristic of leadership. As an individual you go through so much the good and the bad. This is classified as a characteristic that individuals learns as they grow up in society. It personally classifies them as a human being ; a human being that commits mistakes and errors. I mean an individual isn't gone ahead and become perfect out the blue. Nah, it takes time for them to personally recognize the things they have been lacking. They need to experience the bad in order for them to do the good. It does depend on the arena that an individual is in though, I agree with you.

Their are two types of leader a positive and a negative leader one who actually wants to guide you towards success or one who rather guide you towards failure.I agree to what you stated ; to become a leader you have to work really hard and forth to strive for positive things in life.This world is surrounded by both POSITIVE and NEGATIVE leader's and follower's who choose to either follow the right steps in life,but on the other side you also have those who tend to always be failure's in life .

A leader is someone who is very determine and is someone who wants to succeed in life.A leader is also an individual who never talks down on other individuals but yet encourages them to try even harder but never to give up .A leader is someone who you can share ideas with and interact with them and even gain more knowledge.A leader is someone who has future dreams of becoming someone successful in life .I would say that I consider myself being a leader of my own because I feel as if I give and do everything to the best of my ability and yet even though sometimes I find myself in a position in which things seem hard I never quit yet it helps me grow even stronger and it allows me to strive even harder next time.My teacher's and parents have been my leaders they have taught me right from wrong.My teacher's provide me with an education they want for all of us to succeed in life and they help us by teaching us and by allowing us to gain more knowledge each time that we attend school.I see my parents as leaders because they work hard to provide us with everything to ensure that were okay and I also see them as my leaders because of everything that they have accomplished in life.

I would have to agree with you. You were actually the person who always gives me advice and remind me that i could do better. I took that advice and pasted it on to some of the people around me. Helping people really feels good. also, some thing you didn't mension was; you have to hang with the positive people and know where they going in life. Thats important because you don't need anyone to bring you down. Even your friends could get jelouse and make you feel bad about your good deeds.

We prefer to be around people with ambition because they set an good example so that we can follow and have the same type of mind set as they do. Ambitious people tend to be determined to what they set their mind to so if we surround ourselves with people who are ambitious we tend to do the things that they do, and later on after we followed them and they have taught us now it is our turns to teach. Which ties into being a leader a good leader knows when to follow to become a leader that is the first step is to follow. So what if you are a positive leader or negative leader you still have set example so that you can teach your followers. I believe that every one has the potential to be a leader good or bad but you just have to want it and be a good follower before you can be a good leader.

I agree with your statement you must first know what you doing in order for you to help and guide other individuals toward's success.In order for you to actually accomplish this in life you must know where you want to go in life and where are the other individuals taking you or guiding you.....Is it Failure or is it Success ??????
