Twitter in the classroom

Hi all,

I've just set up a twitter account for my class. We are following some schools here in Ireland but I need to find other schools to follow and to follow us. Does anybody know of a place to find other schools on Twitter.

I have 5th grade media classes and would be interested in following your class. Here are some great ideas from a slideshare. I like #4 tweetstory, #13 geotweets, and others. You will also find other related slideshares on that page to get started.

Thanks for posting that link about ways to use Twitter with students. What does following someone else's class entail? Is there project/assignment collaboration between the classes, or is it simple adding them to your Twitter account so you can see what they working on? I am still in college but will be bookmarking to link you posted to use with my future students!
