The first year of teaching

For me the two toughest things were:  learning that I couldn't demand respect (I had to earn it), and learning how to effectively organize all of the paperwork, contacts, meetings, to do lists, grades, etc. The easiest part was the end of the year.

Toughest?  Realising at the end of term 1 that this teaching practicum isnt ending!  Easiest? Enjoying the journey and seeing the results!

Toughest: every single day is unpredictable. Until you have actually tried something, you won't know how it will go.

Easiest - there is no easy in your first year. Accept that.
