I am doing a project called facespace. For the project students have been creating waht I call a facespace page on a historical figure or a character from a book they have read as a way of getting more into the character or person. They have been using a powerpoint template I created to put their research into. I am having them save the tempate as a website in the hopes of putting on my google site so parents and others can see the "pages".

Does anyone know of a site/resource that can help me or do you know how to embed a website saved to my computer into a google sites page?

Why not just upload the .pptx file?

It will convert it to a Google presentation and give you a web link to it.

If you want to convert the .pptx file to html you'll have to upload the .html file as well as the corresponding folder containing all the media (for example, "facespace.pptx" will save as both "facespace.html" and a folder called "facespace_files"). In order to put the html file online you'll also need to upload the "_files" folder too.

Try uploading the .pptx files directly to Google Docs and then use the resulting web address as your link on your Sites page.

Hope that makes sense/helps...

I tried uploading as a pptx and then using the document link. It worked but the links included in the powerpoint didn't work.

What I am aiming for is to have the kids be able to navigate around each page as it is a real webpage. I will keep messing around.

Thanks for the help and keep the ideas coming.

Why not skip PowerPoint and do the presentations straight in Google?

Links will work when creating a Google Docs presentation:
