What are school districts finding successful as Tier III Interventions in the Response to Intervention process? I am interested in interventions at all levels of K-12.

Hi! I'm a reading specialist in Vermont. We've found a couple of interventions that have been useful. One is FastTrack, which is a comprehensive program that encompasses phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency. Is generally used to replace core instruction. I also anything Orton-Gillingham based, such as the Wilson Reading Program. Hope this helps!

My school has just purchased the Triumphs program (in line with the Treasures Reading Series). This program is working really well with my special education students because it is geared for students working at least two grade levels below. Many of my students really need help on those basic reading skills. Without having a grasp on those pre-reading skills, they really struggle with the core reading curriculum.
