The teaching-learning fraternity, since the time of inception of the concept of Web tools, is curious to explore:
Whether Web tools can be used for assessment and evaluation purposes too, in teaching-learning process?
If yes, what sort of tools are available which can be effectively used for assessment and evaluation?
Here comes the solution.
The current chapter draws a comprehensive picture of evaluation and ICT tools for evaluation, and in turn the technology in evaluation. Beginning from the concept of learning and evaluation, swimming through the conceptual understanding of Web 1.0, Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 tools, the document gives a comprehensive, yet brief, picture of web tools, especially Web 2.0 tools, with detail, which can easily be used for the teaching-learning assessment and evaluation.

The white paper provides a good set of tools to explore. Apart from the ones mentioned, I would like to include www.khanacademy.org as another important source of learning. Especially for self-paced learning, it provides a good platform, given the huge set of free, descriptive and interactive video content. It really acts as a good further learning at school level.
This article deals and tries to focus on the various aspects of the evaluation processes and the role of technology in Education. It emphasis on the fact that the Evaluation to be a day to day interaction.
I C T helps in evalution a good evalution help both teacher and the learner currentdays cce concept comes which emphesis on regular evalution ICThas made it possible to keeptrack of the record of the everyday activity
The paper provides a useful insight on the various ICT tools available in the world today. Evaluation is a very important part of student assessment. Integrating technology with the teaching learning process facilitates not only easier evaluation but saves time as well. Programs like I rubic and Rubistar are interactive and help students in judging their own performance thereby providing them a chance to improve themselves. Need of the hour is to make people aware of these technological tools especially teachers so as to simplify the evaluation process.
The article makes us understand so much more how indispensable ICT has become for more effective educational system. With all the tools available for both teachers as well as students, it is clear that a very transparent learning environment can be achieved. ICT, as mentioned by Sir, goes a long way in making the system a learner-centered matter. Amazing revelation for a brighter future!
This article gives information regarding evaluation and web tools which can be useful for learner-centered evaluation. this is a very useful source of learning which gives information about I-rubric and many other web tools facilitating the evaluation and assessment.
To address questions such as when, where and how to assess the student, the role of ICT as an effective two-way communication technology plays a major role. As the purpose of evaluation as per Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation(CCE) is to improve the teaching - learning process,it has to be done on a daily basis being transparent, objective and consistent. The ten web2.0 tools explained in this paper has given an insight into the common tools used for evaluation that are easy to access and learner-centred. R-campus has been described here as one of the best integrated evaluation tool due to its multifunctionality. These tools can improve student performance by showing what is expected and drive changes in teacher practice through useful feedback.
this article gives to various aspect of evaluation & provde good kind of tools to explore.
ICT is becoming more and more helpful in knowing the concepts underlying in a discovery.
Reading the first few paragraphs of the article one might believe that it is a piece of writing which is a mere justification of the CCE, recommended by the NCF 2005. But after talking about the benefits of the CCE("like development of the skill of co-ordination and co-operation" in the learners), and testimonising its need by pointing its mention in various reports of committees on education, the article gives a brief but descriptive meaning of ICT. As a teacher the most crucial role of an individual is to develop a healthy communicative environment for his/her learners so as to encourage them to articulate their views and thoughts, which is very helpful in a proper evaluation of their learning process. ICT, primarily, caters to the above mentioned need/role of a teacher. It is the sustainable use of Informatic Technology to enhance communcative technology which would facilitate the teachers in ensuring a better teaching- learning. There is also a comprehensive description of the three tools of ICT- web 1.0, web 2.0 and web 3.0 and their utilities. Though te article tries to explain various web 2.0 tools in detail(like PollDaddy, Schooltube, Mahara, etc) but I think these will come handy only with their practical usage.
since cce has been introduced in schools so ICT will prove to be a great help to this evaluation.
