I am looking for good freeware, online, that my students can use to learn to type. Any suggestions?

P.S. If it tracked their progress that would be ideal.

Try these:

http://www.sense-lang.org/typing
http://www.typingtest.com
http://www.learn2type.com
http://www.powertyping.com

I think the powertyping site tracks lessons, but I'm not sure.
Thanks Patrick.
Here are some more to try. They don't keep track of students. The only ones that I know of that do that are paid websites. I just keep a listing with names and typing speeds - then I can walk around the lab and record speeds as kids finish the test.

http://www.typeonline.co.uk/typingspeed.php - good speed test (but students have been known to only type a few words, then quit, and it will look like their speed is very fast, so watch for that)

Thanks Fran. I currently use the last one listed.
This is free website:http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/

or try Ultrakey is good student data and record.
Thanks Sanjana,

I checked this out and I think you have to pay for it (outside of the 30 day trial).

I found an ideal website that tracks a students' progress and let's them share that progress with the world.

www.typingweb.com

Check it out and tell me what you think.

Typingweb.com is a great free site.
