TICT Tech Support in the Osseo School District. I'm currently working with Moodle this summer. I'm also playing and coaching soccer.
I graduated from college in 2007 with a Computer Information Systems degree. I never thought I would be working in a school district but I love it! I'm a computer geek and love technology but I also love sports and working out, reading, music and just relaxing : )
Quotes
"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."
"We are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t exist yet using technologies that haven’t yet been invented in order to solve problems we don’t even know are problems yet."
Howdy! How can I verify--from Google--that there is no cost for 60K plus users in a public school district setting? Thanks so much for your response and feedback!
With your work in Technology for you school district, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Wiziq also as a Moodle plug in that lets you go directly into its virtual classroom from Moodle.
Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.
I see you use SMARTBoards in your school system. Check out the SMARTBoard Revolution Ning at http://smartboardrevolution.ning.com for lots of tips, ideas, files, websites and Notebook 10 training files for Windows or MAC.
Happy New Year! I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Minnesota!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

Hello Melissa and welcome here. I love all your comments in your introduction as they are my sentiments as well. However, once staff see the wonderful benefits of web2.0, they gradually start to come on board as well.
