About Me: I’m Trish Willis. I was born and raised in the Los Angeles, CA area, and I have lived in Cibolo, Texas for 1 year. (near Schertz) I lived in San Antonio, over by I-10 and DeZavala, for about a year in 2008. I now live with my elderly father, and I have two German Shepherds, all of whom take a lot of time and work, but I love them dearly. I worked as a substitute teacher in SCUCISD and Seguin this past year, and currently, as a server at Jim’s Restaurant. Try the Tortilla Soup, it’s the best in San Antonio.  As an undergraduate, I earned a BS in Liberal Studies, with an emphasis in Literacy. I then earned my California Clear Credential, which took an additional two years. I am not working in a library yet, but I hope to. I have been looking for a teaching position for the past year, but no luck. I am EC-6 certified, with 4 years experience teaching 3rd grade, but it is difficult to find a job teaching. I noticed a lot of openings for Librarian when I looked at school district websites, so, since I really enjoy being in the library, I decided to become a librarian. I look forward to meeting and getting to know more people in my MLS 591 class.
