Assistive Technology for hearing impaired

Hello everybody. I was simply curious to see what people felt is the best assistive technology for students with hearing impairments? I have heard of several technologies such as speaker systems and what not but I wanted to get some feed back on what people are using out there in the classrooms today.

This is great! Thank you for your help! Does anybody else have any information on this topic? I'm very interested to hear how teachers are accomodating students with hearing deficiencies.
