authentic audience - please help?

Quite a few speakers spoke about authentic audience and assessment with regards to posting work on sites such as Wikepedia and poetry sites. These were often used for Primary students. Does anyone have any suggestions about how or where students could write for authentic audience in VCE classes (especially English and Literature) and would this raise concerns with regards to privacy issues?
