Since elementary teachers have special circumstances to deal with concerning the use of technology, I thought we could meet here to talk and to share ideas for 2.0 integration.
Hello everyone. Just found out about this great networking opportunity and I can't wait to start getting involved in some discussions.

Hi out there! I just found Classroom 2.0. What an amazing place ... I'm an arts educator, and use art, movement and drama with pre-school and elementary school children to develop reading, literacy and life skills. At the moment though I'm working on my doctorate, so I'm not teaching right now. Would love to know if any one out there works using drama - in the creative dramatics approach - no scripts, no 'acting', but creating stories through improvisation and imagination with children.

And I'll second that, Ana! She also got me started on my class blog!. We are a group of 6, 7, 8, and 9yr. olds in our multiage age classroom at the same school in North Carolina. We are also looking for some connections 'round the world. Have a look and have fun learning all about us!www.piazzamannino.edublogs.org

Anyone here have a class blog? Check ours out at http://upperhouse.edublogs.org. We have a group of 4th and 5th graders in Greensboro, NC, and we're trying to make connections with people from all around the world. Hope you stop by for a visit--please sign our "shout-out" page if you do! =)
Smilebox.com is an application that th eprimary teachers in my school absolutely love! It's like online scrapbooking. The teachers take pictures or video of an event and then use the templates in smilebox to frame them. The tempaltes have sound and sometimes motion or characters that talk. THey can then print them or post them to the class blog. They have a free option (with ads) a free teacher option with limited tempaltes and a full club subscription that is $40.00 per year. It's really cute. Check it out. Smilebox

HI. I'm Chris and work in an Australian primary (elementary) school. I'm currently at a conference ad learning about the networking possibilities of groups such as this one. I'll be having a bit of a look around to see what's here and may even become a regular visitor and contributor.
Hello, my name is Laura. Just found Classroom 2.0 and can't wait to learn more about the "real world" of teaching. I am an English Lit. graduate, working on my Grad Dip in Primary Education - all the academics are finished but I still have to do my pracs next year. My husband is a music teacher and our goal is to teach at an international school in Asia after I have finished my pracs. Bit scary for someone who hasn't even had a chance to teach yet so here I am... please overwhelm me with lots of tips and advice - believe me, I need it :)
Hi, my name is Colleen. I am currently a Para-professional who recently graduated with my Master's in Special Ed. I am excited to learn new ideas that I can use to engage children and make literacy my focus in the classroom.

Hello everyone!
I am Carol Hughes. I am a Special Education Teacher instructing students with autism. I currently teach six students that are in the third to fifth grade. I enjoy creating materials for my students and incorporating technology to enhance learning. I look forward learning about these new tools and being on board!

Hi,
I am the Ed Technogist at Brittin Elementary School on Ft. Stewart, GA. I previously taught 4 grade for 16 years and have been in my current position for 8. I am looking forward to reading and contributing to posts. I am always looking for new ideas and information. I would love to start a monthly newsletter for my elementary teachers. I would welcome any ideas for topic/subjects to cover.
