Thanks Lauraw, Jane Zawacki & Samuel Wright. I'll have a play now!

Mark: I'd probably use Pages 09. Get the students to cover a whole A4 sheet with images, placing them on lots of different angles and then put the silhouette over the images, removing the dark area with the alpha tool.

This isn't specific software, but I've used the online tool Stained Glass Collage (http://www.sgcollage.com) to create collages. Its pretty easy to work with and you can download/print your results.

Collages on Mac? Sure. Try ComicLife or just plain Pages 09.
I recently had the same idea to create a collage of some student work so I went with a Web 2.0 Tool called animoto.

Hi all. Are there any Mac programs that could be used to create a digital collage? I have a vision of my kids using their silhouette as a frame for their pictures.

Hello,
I'm a grade 4 teacher in BC, Canada, and I'm enrolled in a post-grad. program in integrating technology in teaching. I am looking for ideas to integrate technology into math lessons (starting with whole numbers to 10 000 and addition to 10 000,) in order to better engage students in the lessons and increase their understanding of these concepts. Any ideas for sites, free programs, or lessons themselves will be appreciated. Thank you!

hi! I'm Hugo. I love using my Mac in supporting my teaching. I used to teach in 1:1 laptop program where the school is an Apple school. This time, I work with a non Apple school. Quiet a challenging time for me...

If you can remember the iPhone prototype left in the bar story, the shirt WOZ is wearing might give you a smile. I'm lucky enough to be friends with his wife, Janet and have actually been lucky enough to have dinner with him a couple of times... as part of a group.... What a BRAIN!!!

I'm finishing a grad class with some K-8 teachers in science inquiry next week and will be using both Macs and iPad to help with teaching and certifying them to check out and use the StarLab Planetarium with the kiddos... And, believe me, the kiddos LOVE inquiry science!!!!

I've been doing some telescope work and love using the iPad and Star Walk to help zero in on what I want to look at. I think that device will be a wonderful adjunct to the Mac computers for education. Even Pasco brought their science probe functionality over to the iMobile devices...
