Saskatoon sounds so much more exciting than Salford!
    Hi Deirdre.

    Good Day Deirdre!
I spent two WONDERFUL weeks in Saskatoon once. It was the first time I ever saw the Northern Lights. Awesome, beautiful part of the world!

Thanks for introducing yourself. One of my goals is to connect people who have worked in tutor/mentor programs, or been part of such programs, in past years, so that we can use the shared experience to build support for kids in current programs.

Hello Deirdre. Look forward to interacting with you!

    Deirdre,
Thanks for the invite. I was brought up in Yorkshire and we 'northerners' are not afraid to open our mouths and ask questions - even if the answers seem obvious to others.

I'm currently investigating, VLEs, PLEs and blogs - any opinions or experiences most welcome!

    Best Wishes,

Hi Deirdre, thanks for the invitation. Great to read your blog and hear about such a long-term use of computers in higher ed. I know medicine has changed a lot since you started teaching, and it's great to hear of higher ed integration (which may be routine - I'm not sure!) -- Pamela

Hi Deirdre. You are fortunate to have had a cabin on La Ronge lake. I live here and have been unable to find one for sale at the right time. They are seldom advertised locally. The market is elsewhere. If I had a cabin on the lake I would be travelling to and from work via water.

    Hi There
Well we seem like we both have many years of education in our backgrounds. Looking forward to collaborating. I checked out the blog you have listed- great use of it . It is an exciting period in technology, as it should be!!!!

    Hi Deidre,

Lovely to meet you and greetings from Australia. You will be looking forward to summer and winter is coming here. We have had a terrible drought and will really welcome any rain that falls this winter. I love this Board; everyone is so friendly, but am still finding my way around

    Deirdre,
Hey ! My sister-in-law attends your school! My husband is from MooseJaw. We will be visiting MooseJaw in July! I love it there !

By the way...the website you gave is very interesting. You know, they don't teach Canadian history here in the states. When I met my husband, I didn't know where Saskatchuwan was! Sorry if I spelled that wrong! :)

Your wiki is very nicely done...informative, simple, and to the point. Thanks for a great resource!

Just looked at your active learning site - great examples. My grade 4 kids are doing many similar things with blogs, wikis, video and lots of project based learning. It's amazing how fast these technologies are finding their way into little kid classrooms!
