As an educator, I sometimes fail to see the real-life, business ($$$) connection when learning how to integrate emerging technologies into our school. I hope this will help us all better define Web 2.0. Without a common definition and an understanding of how Web 2.0 tools will be used in the business world, we will not make all the progress possible using these "CyberTools".

Suggested Entry Level Teaching of Various Web 2.0 Tools

Now that there are too many web 2.0 tools to teach in any one year or school, when should we introduce them to our students. Are there web 2.0 tools that will benefit our youngest students? Which web 2.0 tools are better left for later grades? When should students begin having their own blog space, google account, join or create a social network, use course management software, and/or create and document their learning in a personal digital portfolio?

Sharing Web 2.0 Classroom Successes

How are some of you using Web 2.0 tools to enhance/enrich your instruction? I thought that we would all share some success stories then we will sort them into categories and use these same stories to encourage others to take the risk in their classrooms to benefit their students.

In many situations, teachers do not have the support of administration nor the technology hardware to use Web 2.0 tools effectively. Schools need technology integrators to assist teacher and students. Let's… Continue

As a technology integrator, I assist K-8 teachers and students and have a few teachers that I think would like to do some long-distance collaborative learning. Please let me know if you are interested. Maybe we can even set up an area where teachers/others can post their desire to reach out to other students.
