That sounds good Gerardo. I am happy to help set up a VC if possible. As we start in February, that might give me a bit of time to lay some ground work in preparation or a project.
Yes, the time difference will be tough, as 0830 AEST will be 1630 Lima time next March!

hanks for your response. Sorry it's takenme several days to respond. I'm certainly interested in doing projects. Your academic year is simlar to mine. We'll start the new year the first of march. So you may be right. Although we could do an introductory videoconference with students so they meet and perhaps start something from there on. I know the limiting factor will be the time difference, but hopefully we could work something out.
My students are 5th, 6th and 7th graders.
Thanks again.

Hello Gerardo,
Many thanks for contacting me.
I am very interested in collaborating on a project, and perhaps finding a way to collaborate!
My situation at the moment is I am leaving the school I am currently teaching at in six weeks, with about 4 weeks of teaching left, so for this year, it may be difficult. However I foresee great opportunities to do the sort of collaboration you describe at my new school, where classes will start in February. Perhaps we can exchange some ideas and do some planning through the summer, with a view to begin a projecvt in 2009? What are some of the ideas you have in mind?
Best regards,
Jason Arruzza
