I see you know all my online friends. Are you on twitter too? If not, you should be. If you are interested in collaborating, we have heaps of options. Also had a message today about using Adobe Connect for second language collaboration. Let me know if you are interested. See below. Hope back is better soon
I've had a note from Eddie Reisch who runs the Virtual Learning Net Work
asking if any one would be interested in being involved with learning French
and possibly Spanish or Portuguese using Adobe Connect ( Breeze) This would
enable it to be interactive with audio and visual plus the interaction with
other students. This could be used with a class, a group of student or
individually as an extension of students learning.
Skyping sounds good. We tried something last week for 3D modelling. I put them into groups and they built a model using lego. They had to create a top, side and front view of the model then write instructions on how to build it. I sent them into different rooms and they communicated to help a different team build their model and vice versa.
I'm not so sure they'd want to do the lego again but I'm sure we could think of something that would get them working together.
We have a TokBox account as well which is embedded on our wiki.Works like skype but you video message as well.
Cool template idea -- will check it out.
Mine are year 5/6 of mixed ability. They are pretty keen on learning on the whole and we try out lots of new things all the time. The latest thing we are into is skyping. If you and your kids are keen we would love to chat to you!

Hey Heath
I am great at online procrastinating too! Your wiki is fantastic -- I look forward to using it as an example of best practice (if that's okay)!
I have just starting using wetpaint to create novel study wikis and I like the way they work.
I would be super keen to collaborate on anything! What age are your kids?
Thanks, it's a work in progress obviously but the children are getting right into it...... and we've had lots of parents sign up as well which has been great. Starting our first collaborative project with a school from Mississippi next week. Looking forward to that.

Yep I'm all done with college and have my own little classroom to play around in now. Haven't been on here in forever though, so much going on!
We are in the middle of a production also so I know how that feels!
I look forward to it.
:)
I have downloaded and embedded a TokBox on our blog site under Live in M3.
Look forward to doing something with your class!
