I loved the form of the book and how it all came together in the end. Even though I had heard the story, I was still very surprised at the end. I connected with the message, "be careful what you wish to be because you may just turn in to that." There were many messages on many levels that would appeal to a wide audience. I thought there was a little too much of the monkey king story, so I skimmed over some of it. The humor was well done and the use of pictures to tell the story was brilliant. Overall, I thought it was an excellent novel. I would highly recommend it!
