Much of my work has been associated with the theater (one of my two undergrad majors) and the arts. Some of my gigs as a working actress include performing in Croatia, in a PA DOC training video, and in several children’s theater shows. My most recent work has been with a children’s theater camp for which I wrote and directed a musical adaptation of a Grimm Brothers tale. Slightly on the less specialized but nonetheless inspirational side, one of my jobs this spring included dressing up as Lady Liberty in Brooklyn—that was wonderfully crazy. Being the sixth child of my parents’ nine children, I have continued the family tradition of being a part-time house painter (int/ext/decorative) for the past decade; so if anyone needs some painting done, I’ll hook you up!
Mathematics was my second undergrad major and has been my secret lover since the age of about eight. My passion for mathematics has led me to encourage others to see its beauty, and so I have done extensive tutoring throughout PA and NY. Disdain for mathematics from so many children has been my driving force for educational media study. Interning with Cyberchase at Thirteen/WNET in NYC has allowed me to witness the power of educational media; thus, this year I would like to focus on how to make mathematics accessible through the arts and media.
Additionally, I love to laugh, dance, sing, travel, eat, exercise, create things, drink tea, play with children, and the list goes on...

Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you have any 2ndary education contacts who would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT. We're trying to get the word out as much as possible because the more videos we get, the more helpful we can be!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
