About Me: Founder/President of M.U.S.I.C.a nonprofit arts in education and media literacy organization.

Middle school social studies teacher at a K-12 rural school district. Very interested in the merging of art, technology, and media literacy with a central focus on character education and social responsibility. Also interested in educational applications of MySpace and other social networks.

Developing skill-based interdisciplinary lessons and social justice learning activities that stimulate both the heart and mind.

Each school year my 8th grade social studies students must research a historic person or event and build a 3D Memorial. During the class presentation they are also required to play a dedication song that pays tribute to the person or event being memorialized.
