Serious Games

Serious Games Are the Future of E-Learning !

Serious games (SGs) or persuasive games are computer and video games used as persuasion technology or educational technology. They can be similar to educational games. Serious games can be of any genre and many of them can be considered a kind of edutainment.

A serious game may be a simulation which has the look and feel of a game, but corresponds to non-game events or processes, including business operations and military operations. The games are intended to provide an engaging, self-reinforcing context in which to motivate and educate the players.

Thanks for the invite. I couldn't agree more with what you say about serious games. Its an area I've spent quite a bit of time investigating.

G'day AC :-)
Thanks for the invite, mate. I'm switched on to your way of thinking and have been exposed to the educational use of 'gaming' in Govt e-Learning environments. A very useful, practical and dare I say enjoyable way to learn.

Wow, AC, I really enjoy your take on gaming (disclaimer, I am proud to have a son who is currently publishing in rpg game design and submitting papers on the educational value of gaming to scholarly journals, while about to enter his senior year at college here in the States)! I have added your blog to my aggregator, and when I return from vacationing in the woods of Maine, where internet access is extremely infrequent, I will look forward to more conversations on Ning!
Thanks for the invite.
