About Me
I am an educator who has variously taught music, english and headed up off campus Year 9 programs with experiential and collaborative learning. I have just moved to a new school where my role is Curriculum Developer. The school is one of those created by the Federal Govt to address skills shortage in trades. The idea is that the students complete a Year 12 certificate while also doing off the job training at TAFE and on the job training in an apprenticeships. I am interested in online tools for engagement, flexible curriculum delivery, assessment and creating a learning community among the various stakeholders in the education/work process.

I am also in training with CSD, a company who are leading the way in working with businesses to make them more sustainable. I hope to use these ideas in the school setting and take them further into the industries with which the students are working, See www.csd.com.au.

I also love music and sing with the Melbourne Chamber Choir (previously the Faye Dujont Singers). My profile photo is me with my sister and mother at a champagne supper after a recent concert.

Hi, my name is Laura. I am in a Carreer and Family class and we are studying families from other countries and how they work and function. I would like to ask about the structures of families in Australia and how they relate to the ones in the U.S. Is it common for a family to stay as together or is the devorce rate higher. If so, is it common for people to remarry? What challenges to families face such as finance, education, and health issues. Thank you.

Hi Linda,
Nice to meet you in ning. Clint is great, I worked with him at e-works for a time on the International Project for the Framework. There is so much for us all to learn on our journey into a changing world on the net. Lets keep in touch. I am currently in Melbourne. Can not go anywhere until the 'Concert for Max' is completed. Zane my 16 year old son (who I am homeschooling using social networking tools) has been helping me create the myspace for the concert. We like so many others volunteered to create and manage the site and Wal Bishop, Max's manager and friend, said 'Great'. A great way to bond with your child and so neat that he wants to help out Max.
As we are both Melbourne girls, please feel free to contact me if you would like to catch up sometime or would like me to talk etc.

Hello, I am a Family and Consumer Science teacher in the US and my students are writing papers over family structure and issues facing families from other countries. Would be interested in corresponding with one of my students?
