Who were the Pioneers of the Internet?

It is 1980 and the web was not invented, but the Bulletin Board System (BBS) flourished. They served the same function of a website, email, file transfer, graphic all in text. Most were served by a single phone line and there was no communication among the BBS.

Importing Audio CD audiobooks into iTunes

I'm not sure if anyone else has run into this but within schools we used to have students listen to books on tape, anyone remember those days? Of course in more recent years we've purchased many audio CD audiobooks to support our literacy departments. With our iPod Touches we've been exploring methods of moving that purchased content into our iTunes account for our students. I quickly checked this out (above). It is VERY interesting.

Trying to figure out the best tools for The Arts Academy. I really need advice...seems like we all like our wiki sites. But, I would like to develop a technology plan for the school. Rush Arts lends itself well to portfolios including student work. I wonder if anyone has been trying out any type of e-portfolio. I would be interested in talking to folks about this.
