Biology Cell Test using Interactive Response Devices

I've been working to develop a test for my Biology students. We have been studying cells so tonight I developed a summative assessment to give my students. Because of this technology, I was able to develop this test including many color pictures (including some taken through the microscope.) This test also includes video clips (because I had the ability and it fit my… Continue

Pixton for Schools: Learning with Comics

Last week I attended the Innovative Learning Conference (ILC) in San Jose, California. Despite what seemed like a very light turnout, it turned out to be a great conference experience. The educators attending ILC were engaging and it gave me a chance to meet up with some of my social networking pals in real life. I also had the opportunity to see some really good presentations.

Like most conferences there was an exhibition hall with lots of vendors touting their goods and services as… Continue

Technology across the globe survey

Hi, I'm a senior in high school and I am doing a project about technology use in other countries.

I am trying learn about the types of technology that have had the greatest impact on our world as a whole, over the last 10 years, instead of just seeing how technology plays a role in the United States.

I am hoping that I will get responses from people all across the world.

I would really appreciate your help if you could take this survey.

Thank you…

ENLIGHTENED PERSPECTIVE

If you will take the time to read these. I promise you'll come away with an enlightened perspective. The subjects covered affect us all on a daily basis: They're written by Andy Rooney , a man who has the gift of saying so much with so few words.

Enjoy.......

I've learned.... That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned.... That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned.... That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!'… Continue

Photo Change

I wanted a refreshing change and after having my hair cut when I'm trying to grow it out really disappointed me so I went for my "me in a bag" collage. You see a bit about me is I love s'mores, cooking, Target (where I must wear my glasses and blinders to avoid distraction), I can be a grinch from time to time, I hope to travel the world, family and kids are important and well you get the picture. It's all about me - - what items would or… Continue
