Over spring break, I learned how to create a Google website. It was fairly easy. I wanted a place to leave resources for teachers that are learning how to use technology in their classrooms. I will add more resources to this site as I have time. Here is the link: http://sites.google.com/site/uteachwithtechnology/home

Hello Everyone!
I wanted to share this video I created and posted on youTube this week. I created it to express my views and summarize the training I gave this week in Ellicottville, New York. I am a high school social studies teacher of at risk students and am using Moodle to turn my classroom into a hybrid course. I still see my kids the same number of days and my classroom really looks just as it did before. I have added an online component in Moodle and have basically extended…

I’ve decided to quit yammering on and put my money where my mouth is.
I’m preparing an installation of Moodle to use in my classes next year. My preliminary plan is to use the Moodle install to differentiate instruction and to allow students to choose what and when they want to learn something in mathematics.
I’ve tried to use Moodle before and I just found the package to be too large…and too difficult to play with as…

After another teacher asked me how to put swf files into powerpoint I recalled how complicated this was, but with many teachers having resources already in Powerpoint rather than Smart Notebook it was a matter of finding a way for teachers to insert flash and movie, record narration in ppt. And even it could add our teachers' video and narration along with the PowerPoint courses.
Then I remembered Wondershare PPT2Flash that is great for…

As a Moodle user, I am really impressed by its powerful features. I can even upload a PowerPoint presentation as one lesson for learning and teaching. Actually, we have at least two options to import a PowerPoint to Moodle.
Option1. Import a PowerPoint as webpage (Without animations, transitions and media files)
Moodle has native feature to capture text and graphics from a series of PowerPoint presentation slides and…

Carl and I concluded our first run of (WSI) Website Investigation: An Introduction to Information Forensics.
This is a fully facilitated Moodle based online class. We had a lot of fun and the participants were great. We also radically underestimated the amount of time the course would take. We figured 5 hours in one week. When we polled the class everyone reported taking far more time with each case study.
It doesn't surprise…

I played hookey from summer school! I know I'll need to look at this in January (the month that never ends in Nebraska). Coming back I have a bunch of unedited photos, 2 moodle courses about half done, a new college class assigned, and no personal artwork. What I did get done is a good long look at web 2.0 applications, some good, lots clunky or underperforming.
The Good?
VoiceThread, Timetoast, Moodle(sometimes), Google sites &…
