Gender issues and the digital divide

Hi,



I am doing a class project on the Digital Divide for my grad school program in education. This is a huge topic, so I narrowed it down to looking at gender issues and technology use in the classroom.



I am interested in how gender plays a role in student interest in using technology (if at all), but I am looking for any other related issues as well.



If any of you have any insight to research in this topic, or have experiences/observations from your own classrooms, I would love to hear them.
