I have started a Christmas Around the World Project at Voicethread. If you are interested in sharing, click on the link below, and share your Christmas traditions with us. It is really easy to get started, and a very innovative approach to using Web 2.0 in your classroom powered by Voicethread. If you I have also started a Christmas Around the World Wiki, where you can contribute to a collection of customs, pictures, sounds, or videos from your part of the world. With both projects going, we can create a great learning place for students to learn about their "global community." Please take a minute to contribute today. Thanks!

Great idea! I will share this with our teachers next week! Although we are in the US too we can benefit from the other who may join in. It might be possible also to get pictures and input from our students because many are immigrants and still have family in other locations.

I have grades 3 & 4 that would like to do this - we are in Maryland. We would do this in December.

This is a great Idea, are you also interested in the traditions of the other Holidays which are around the same time? I'm thinking of Hannuka and Ramadan here in Israel
