Hello Shavon, Just checking out your page, nice! I love using the SmartBoard to teach and engage my second grade students. Any unique ideas or links you have for SmartBoard?

Have a great weekend!
I just added a group that I think you might be interested in, “Educational Technologists.” http://www.classroom20.com/group/instructionaltechnologists I am hoping this group can grow and we will be able to support each other and collaborate so that we can better support our colleagues.
Hi Shavon. I was wondering if you and your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

Much appreciated, Shavon. Because I work with a tech coordinator who's favorite answers are "no" or "not possible", I am constantly digging up examples for my colleagues of "yes, it is possible" and "this is how others are achieving success with tech in their professions". Sharing websites and success stories like yours make the learning curve seem more surmountable. I am wondering if you know of any other grade level teachers with websites/student examples that I can share with the teachers I work with? Also, since I am relatively new to Classroom 2.0, do you know of any discussion groups on this Ning that would be especially helpful for these types of networks?
Thank you for the great ideas on using iLife in the classroom. I visited your classroom webpage and am totally impressed. I would love to be a student in your room! I also saw that you used to be a tech director..I sure wish my school had a tech leader like you.
As a librarian, I have many ideas in which to integrate tech into the curriculum and several key classroom teachers who are open to collaboration. With your permission, I'd like to show them your website and the exciting learning experiences you create for students using tech. You have sparked several possible ideas for me already! I wish you all the best this school year!
Hmmm, haven't gotten to learning about that yet. Right now I HAVE to get all my materials ready for my new group of 70 4th graders I start with tomorrow! Just emailed you @ your mac account re: blog. Are you on twitter? I'm a heavy user :-)
I'm creating an edublog sometime before next Monday to use with 4th graders. Contact me at kolson29@gmail.com with an email account if you would like to join in our blog. If you would like, I can set you up as an administrator. Will you be using this with your 4th grade students?
