Hi Michael. I was wondering if you have students or educator friends who would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
Sorry, no relation at all. My father was Scottish, from Dundee. Chalmers is the Scottish version of Chambers, and is a common name there - there's a Chalmers Lane in Edinburgh, and the remembrance books of war dead in Edinburgh Castle have hundreds of Chalmers entries. Interesting story about your uncle Stanley though.
Mike
I had an uncle Stanley with your last name. The story was that he changed his "Chmielewski" name by just making up the name "Chalmers." His was the only "Chalmers" name in the phone book.
