First time blogger long time reader:)

This is my very first blog. I hope I don't end up sounding stupid, but hopefully anyone who reads it will understand my weirdness. Ahh, summer is here! Still working, but at least theres a light at the end of the tunnell. I don't have to work weekends at school anymore! Yeah! Will write more later, for now, Im going to check out some other blogs to see what kinds of things people say.

I haven't had time to look into all the cool new things I can teach my students about technology. I want to try introducing them to blogging, podcasting, and Gen y this year. Oh yeah, and now I need to figure out how to prove to the state of Kansas that my 8th graders are proficient in technology. I guess Id better get busy!

I'm getting more and more impressed with the scope of Audacity in the classroom. Right now I'm working on finding online music generators where the kids can go, create copyright free music and record it via Audacity. Then they can use it in projects and put it up online. Let's stay in touch about Audacity and share our instructional resources as we develop them next school year.
