I am an instructional designer for a community college in Illinois. I am a former physics / math teacher. I was a teacher for eight years in the US, Japan, and Mexico. I finished a master's degree in instructional technology from Northern Illinois University in December 2009.

There are a lot of good resources for how folks are using web 2.0 for science. You could look at our science fair wiki. I have a page included showing the standards addressed and the evidence gathered. I am sure folks in the science and middle school science groups would like to hear about your research as it develops.
Happy New Year! I was wondering if you or your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. We'd really like to get more students involved from Illinois!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
Your background in physics and math will be a great asset to your new career. The Virtual Learning Initiative at our college will require the talents and expertise of many disciplines, including instructional technology!

Thank you. I would love to see what you've done with bridge building. I hope I am able to return the favor in the future! -- Jessica
