Hi Helen,
With your interest in Web 2.0 Tools, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording you might find of interest.

Hello Dr. Barrett,
I've recently been doing a lot of research on digital portfolios and how teachers can implement these in the classroom (a former teacher myself, I have used portfolios, but I regret not digital!) I have learned an incredible amount from your blog and various sites you've posted, but I'm having difficulty finding articles or resources that promote the safe use of digital portfolios. I know that many tools like DIGIcation and others provide a "walled garden," but I'm looking for good article or piece of literature on this subject. I'm wondering if you can provide any direction for me?
Thank you for help!
