Second Life would allow you to "meet" with your student, and talk and type and share URLs and text (via notecards). You could stream mov files into SL if that is something you need to do. There are also tools for administering basic assessments and for presenting slide shows in SL. I am not affiliated with a university, so cannot really tell you much about that. I do know that some are using it as the place for holding "traditional class", some professors are using it as office hours, and I have seen some examples of students creating environments or presenting their presentations in-life.
1. You can upload documents to your content library, which can be accessed anytime later from your content manager, in online sessions.
2. All sessions are recorded by default, and these can be accessed using the same URL
3. WiZiQ can not be customised for your own branding. If you are looking for customization or website integration, then you can try authorLIVE, which is the same conferencing software as we use in WiZiQ, but is paid.
