I Created A Skype Chat Message Translator That Translates in 43 Different Languages in Real-Time and Speaks 10 of them

This is a FREE program, it can be used to learn how to read, write, and speak languages as well as communicate with others and NOT know their language.

My goals are to help people meet others worldwide, and remove some of the language barriers that have been in place, in the past.

Hopefully, both teachers and students will make attempts to make friends in far away places, learn about cultures and share their experiences, maybe even try to learn new languages, at their own… Continue

Summer 5! What are you reading?

beach chairs

The last day of school for students is in a few days.

I'm in project mode. Working on 7 projects this summer.

I'm in a reflecting-on-the-past-school-year mode. Will be blogging about it soon.

I'm in a getting-ready-for-summer-reading-mode. Went on Amazon last night and ordered books.…

ASL website

I just found this new website: ASLpro.com

Check it out if you want to learn American Sign Language or just brush up on your skills. It's free, but they do ask for donations to help keep it a free service.

Decompress

I'm reminded again today how much I love the first day of summer. Not that I get a summer break - as the technology coordinator, the summer is when I do all the maintenance work that I don't get to during the school year. No, what I feel on the first day of summer break is the release of the pressure valve. (Do you hear the hissing?) A brief respite from deadlines, the idea that time is my friend rather than my enemy. What classes would I like to take? What books should I read? Maybe I'll… Continue

Common standards - what do you think?

Forty-six states have signed on to an agreement to create common academic standards.

I think this is a tremendously positive change and one that is long overdue. In addition to seeming like good common sense to me, it could save states a huge amount of money. It could also be another crack in the travesty of the educational bureaucracy that is… Continue

Continuing on

Last night I made an attempt to update what was going on while on wifi on my phone. Tried for a long time to get the post to go through but it never would. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make that work in the future or not. I like the idea of being able to work off my phone if I have the time.

I believe I talked in my last "not so posted" post, that I'm doing a lot of work in some grad classes right now. One of them is pushing me to set up a blog that I can use in my classroom. Although… Continue

Many students have been asking me where they can get information on about aieee counseling, aieee colleges, aieee preparation, what if they are not able to make it to NIITs and many such questions. My suggestions is first check Aieee Cut off 2009 then you can consider following options:

1> Your rank is under 15k then you have slight chance of making it to NIITs but may be in the second round of… Continue
